Police Seek Man Suspected in 3 Bank Robberies

SUN CITY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) –  Hillsborough County detectives are searching for a man who robbed the Trustco Bank in Sun City on Friday and who is suspected for robbing a SunTrust bank twice earlier in March.

On Friday, the suspect entered the Trustco Bank located at 4441 Sun City Center Boulevard and demanded money from the teller.  After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene by foot.

On March 5 and 9, a man robbed the SunTrust located at 1525 Rickenbacker Drive in Sun City.  Deputies believe the man is the same suspect who robbed the Trustco Bank.

The man is described as a white male between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 5 inches and weighing around 240 pounds.  On Friday’s incident, the man was wearing a blue denim shirt, a white baseball cap with an orange “F” on the front and blue jeans.
