Clearwater Woman Suffers Smoke Inhalation In Apartment Fire

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Officials say a woman was taken to the hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation after fire broke out in her Clearwater apartment.

The 38-year-old woman was outside her apartment when Clearwater firefighters arrived Tuesday night.

It took firefighters about 10 minutes to put out the fire. There was no word on what the caused the fire and officials did not have an estimate of damage.

The Red Cross will be assisting the woman. Her condition was not immediately available.
