The Best Pet Weekend: Pet Expo and Pet-A-Palooza

The weekend of March 10 and 11 is a pet owners dream. There are two huge events on both sides of the Bay that will give you an opportunity to enjoy quality time with your extended family member. There’s even a pet and owner concert on Sunday, March 11 with American Idol James Durbin!

Saturday-March 10:

Tampa Bay Pet Expo 
10AM – 6
Florida State Fair Grounds

At the Pet Expo you can shop and play with your pet in an indoor fun environment. It’s a full day of the wonderful world pets!  There will be discounted vaccinations, free nail trims, and obedience demonstrations. If you are pet-less, dozens of rescue groups will be on hand for a Mega-Adoption Event. Sunday-March 11:

CBS Radio’s Pet-A-Palooza
11AM- 5PM
Clearwater’s Coachman Park

This Pinellas side of the bay pet event  is a day in the park for you and your furry (leases required) or feathered best friend. There’s event a live music all day, plus a concert by American Idol James Durbin from the 10th season of AI. There will informative booths with cool products for you and your pets. The will be a doggie slash down, a pet costume contest with concert ticket as the prize, animal based charities, a Adopt-A-Thon Alley, dog training demonstrations and much more.

Radio Stations Wild, WQYK,Q105, Play 98.7 and Maxima will be there as well. Tickets are only $5 each, with kids 12 and under getting in free! A portion of the proceeds go to Animal Based Charities. Click here to get tickets at Ticketmaster. Entry tickets will also be available at the gate.

Tampa Bay is a pet friendly area. Everywhere you go in the Bay you see pets. Many area hotels even allow your pets to stay in the rooms with their humans. There are also restaurants in Tampa Bay that offer Yappy Hours. Plus, there are plenty of parks and beaches just for Fido and you to play in while enjoying the Florida outdoors.
