TOWN ‘N’ COUNTRY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Tuesday afternoon, 50 Hillsborough County parents got an unexpected scare: their children’s school bus was involved in a crash.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the students from Web Middle school were on a school bus when it collided with two pickup trucks at Pinehust Drive and W. Waters Avenue in Town ‘n’ County around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The accident report states that three students were injured in the collision.
The children and their bus driver were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies say one of the drivers of the pickup trucks possibly suffered a medical event and which caused their truck to rear-end the other and pushed into the path of the school bus.
The drivers of both pick-up trucks were also taken to the hospital.
