TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — A bill that would revise the state’s new ban on designer drugs commonly known as “bath salts” has cleared the Florida House.

Rep. Clay Ingram, a Pensacola Republican who is sponsoring the bill (HB 1175), said drug chemists changed the compound to get around a law enacted last year.

Ingram said the new version was on the streets about a month later. His bill also bans the new formula. It passed unanimously on Wednesday and goes to the Senate, where a similar measure (SB 1502) has cleared two committees but has two more to go.

Law enforcement officers say the drug also known as K2 or Spice has been sold at malls, head shops, and other retail outlets.

It causes hallucinations, seizures, aggression, increased blood pressure and kidney failure.

What kind of respectable reporter puts a photograph of bath salts (which have been banned in FLA for a while now) in an article about spice. these are two entirely different entities that just so happen to share a similar consumer base. It is obvious that you put no effort or thought into this article and you should feel ashamed that people read and believe this garbage that you try to call the news. You are no better than fox news with their scare mongering tactics and widepread disinformation. If you ever decide that you want to a factual article about any kind of substance, than you should consider finding a journalist with personal experience realting to the subject matter. People want the WHOLE TRUTH. Not just a bunch of government propaganda. For instance, why don’t you do a story about how millions of americans feed their children pharmaceutical grade amphetamines (Adderal, Ritalin, etc…) on a daily basis

Well Mr. Gribble, some people don’t like to be informed. Instead they want others to make decisions for them because they’re enslaved by their fear.

    Also–

“It causes hallucinations, seizures, aggression, increased blood pressure and kidney failure.”

–don’t listen to this, Spice is much less enjoyable.
