Hudson Homeless Man With Cell Phone Arrested For Prank 911 Calls

HUDSON, Fa. (CBS Tampa) – A homeless man with a cell phone was arrested late Sunday for calling 911 to get a taxi.

According to Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Michael Barker called 911 nine times for various reasons on Sunday.

On one of the calls he indicated he was having chest pains and hung up without giving a location. Dispatchers were able to track him down through his mobile phone signal.

Barker admitted to deputies he called 911 because “he wanted them to call him a taxi”. He also told law enforcement he was not suffering from chest pains.

He was arrested for misused of a 911 system.
