Tampa Police Close Down Intersection To Investigate Shooting

TAMPA, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Tampa Police say they closed a road briefly Saturday morning when they discovered a car in the middle of an intersection with a man in it who had been shot.

Tampa Police shut down the intersection of N. Florida and E. Hillsborough Avenues shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday morning when they discovered a car in the middle of the intersection with  a man with a gunshot wound in it. The Police report states the unidentified male has given “various statements about the shooting and they are continuing to investigate.”

The unidentified victim has been transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with unknown non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection has been re-opened.
