Oldsmar Couple Escape Apartment Fire

OLDSMAR, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – An early morning fire sent a Oldsmar couple to the hospital Tuesday.

Fire officials say the blaze broke out just after 3 a.m. at the couple’s Forest Lakes Apartments on Hunters Lake Drive.

The couple were cut when they broke out a window in the apartment to escape. They were treated for their injuries at Mease Countryside Hospital.

The couples downstairs apartment suffered significant damage from the fire. Some neighboring units were damaged as well.

The fire is still under investigation.
