Wife Found Dead After Man’s Suicide At Gun Range

LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (CBS Tampa/AP) — Authorities are investigating deaths of a woman at her South Florida home and her husband at a nearby gun range as a possible murder-suicide.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office says a 52-year-old man went to the Arizona Gun Range in Lauderdale Lakes on Saturday. He rented a gun, went to the target shooting area and then shot himself in the head.

The man was transported to a hospital where he later died of his self-inflicted wounds.

When detectives went to notify his wife, they found her dead in a bedroom inside the couple’s home. They had been married since 1997.

Investigators believe the deaths are a possible murder-suicide. The names of the deceased have not been released.
