Wimauma Senior Crashes Into Post Office Causing An Evacuation

WIMAUMA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a Tampa Bay area post office branch at Highway 674 and Sheffield Street was evacuated after a car crashed into the building  Wednesday morning.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that there was major structural damage done to the building Wednesday morning. Deputies say the car shattered the front window and damaged a wall.

No injuries were reported. It wasn’t clear what caused the elderly driver jump the curb and crash.
