Gasparilla Music Festival Preview

TAMPA, Fla.  (CBS Tampa) –  A new addition to Tampa’s Gasparilla festivities is debuting on March 10 in downtown Tampa.

The new Gasparilla Music Festival, featuring a variety of bands, will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park & Kiley Gardens Park from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On the music line up is Deer Tick, an alt-country band; Rebirth Brass Band, a New Orleans-based funk and jazz band; Alvin Young Blood Hart, a Grammy-award winning blues singer;  The Lee Boys, a gospel and blues band; Have Gun Will Travel, a Florida-roots rock band and Kaleigh Baker, a jazz singer.

The food vendors offered at the festival include 3 Suns Organic, Sono Cafe, Holly Hog BBQ Truck, Malios Prime and Pappas Restaurant.

The music fest is family-friendly, particularly early on in the day.  Kids 12 and younger get in free before 2 p.m. Tickets cost $15 for adults and can be bought in advance online.
