Fight After Monster Jam Results in Death

TAMPA, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – 34-year-old David Stanaland has died from injuries he suffered in a fight after Monster Jam.

According to the Tampa Police Department, Stanaland was critically injured in a fight Saturday night in the area of Leroy Street and Himes Avenue near Raymond James Stadium.

The Tampa Police report states there are conflicting reports on how the fight started but suggest it may have had something to do with a stolen wallet.

Stanaland died from his injuries Monday night at a Tampa Bay hospital. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.

Police haven’t released the names of anyone involved the in fight or the name of  the person accused of causing Stanaland’s fatal injuries.

The Tampa Police say are continuing their investigation.
