Last Of 11 Victims In Deadly Gainesville Crash Identified

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — The last of 11 victims in a deadly interstate crash in Florida have been identified as a father, his daughter and the man’s wife.

The man’s ex-wife, Celeste Knapp, says the three were traveling in a pickup to a funeral in Sarasota. She says state troopers came to her door Tuesday night and told her Michael and Lori Hughes, and Sabryna Hughes Gilley were among those killed in a series of fiery crashes along a smoke and fog covered stretch of Interstate 75 near Gainesville early Sunday. The family is from Pensacola.

It appears the trio was headed south on Interstate 75 when they hit smoke and fog.

At least a dozen cars, six tractor trailers and a motor home collided in crashes on both sides of the interstate.
