ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – All of NFL, including the Buccaneers scouts, will be watching East-West Shrine Game today at Tropicana Field today.
Since 1925 this annual game has brought together some of College Football’s most talented players to play against each other. The East-West Shine game gives NFL scouts and coaches an opportunity to assess the future stars of the National Football League. There are 246 former East-West Shrine Game players on current NFL rosters.
Brad Childress and Bobby Ross have been selected as head coaches of the 87th Annual East-West Shrine Game benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The East-West Shrine Game will be televised live on NFL Network at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 23. This is the first year that the game has been played in Tampa Bay area. Last year the game was played in Orlando.
