Swedish (and fabulous) retailer H&M have paired with Trish Summerville, the costume designer on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo set, to create a line inspired by Lisbeth, the main character with a serious punk edge.
The line includes a lot of aged-in washes and finishes to mimic Lisbeth’s grunge look, but still has more of a realistic fashion feel that is not as dirty as the character in the book and movie.
The collection is at H&M store located at International Plaza.
The clothing line has many of the fashions from the movie including; Stud-adorned platform wedges, “tribal-style earrings” ($3.95), hoodies ($29.95), leather boots ($59.95), and a biker-style leather jacket that comes in multiple colors ($199). The line is made up of 30 different looks.
“We are Swedish; this movie has a lot to do with Sweden, which is unusual for Hollywood,” said director Donald Schneider. We are excited! Thanks H&M and Sweden!
IMDb say’s : “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first film in Columbia Pictures’ three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy. Directed by David Fincher and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon.”
