Skydiver Hits Head During Landing in DeLand

DELAND, Fla. (AP) — A skydiver who hit his head during a landing at a Volusia County airport is recovering in the hospital.

DeLand police told the Orlando Sentinel the skydiver was knocked unconscious Saturday afternoon by a hard landing at the airport.

The unidentified skydiver was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the man was skydiving with Skydive DeLand.
