Suspect Dies After Police Chase

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Tampa Bay area authorities say an armed robbery suspect died when a police chase ended with a vehicle crash.

St. Petersburg police report that officers began chasing the suspect’s vehicle Tuesday evening. After a short time, the car crashed into three other vehicles.

The suspect, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene. The car’s driver was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
