Looking for fun and informative free activities in Pinellas County for you and the kids? We have searched the internet and found these 6 free events and activities for you with or, without the kids.

First Friday St. Pete
Every First Friday of the month, Central Avenue in downtown St. Pete is transformed into a Free Block Party between 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Enjoy the free live music in a unique, convenient, and safe environment. First Friday St. Pete is held in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg between 2nd and 3rd Street South. Next Event is in February.

Largo Central Railroad
Big kids and little kids of all ages will giggle with delight when they climb on board Largo Central Railroad’s miniature trains.The first weekend of every month  they open up and offer free public run days.  Because of the New Year’s Holiday the next full weekend will be In February. Everyone is welcome. They operate on these free weekends from 10am to 4pm. Bring a picnic or buy lunch from one of the vendors. Children must be at least one year to ride the trains.

Blast Friday in Downtown Clearwater 
Is a month free family street event in downtown Clearwater with games and music. This event is held the last Friday of every month. On Friday January 27th the 1970′s band Rare Earth will be performing and in February on the 24th the band will be Pablo Cruise.

Safety Harbor Public Library 
Family Story Time: Mondays, January 9, 23, & 30, 6:30 – 7:00 pm. End the day with a story time for the entire family. Pajamas welcome. 101 Second street North, Safety Harbor.

Free Dog Training Class 
Learn the Basics of Dog Training Seminar the first Saturday (01/07) of each month at 10 in the morning.
Learn about house training, loose-leash walking and dealing with challenging behaviors such as chewing
paws and jumping. Seminar is conducted by a certified pet dog trainer and member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. This free, fun and informative seminar is for anyone who has adopted a dog from Pinellas County Animal Services. Held at Pinellas County Animal Services, 12450 Ulmerton Road, Largo.

Free Public Speaking Workshops at Library

January 10 and 24, 3:00 PM to 4:30PM – Main Library St Petersburg Library
Experienced Toastmaster and veteran speech-maker Norm Bungard has developed a fun program to help you gain confidence and develop your speaking skills. Participants will explore various types of talks–from wedding toasts and sales pitches to more formal speeches. 3745 9th Ave. North, St. Petersburg.
