All Aboard For The Best Railfair and Model Train Show

Calling all model train fans the 7th Annual Florida Railfair and Model Train Show is coming to the special events center at the Florida State fair Ground Saturday and Sunday, December 17-18, 2011.

If you love Model Trains and are looking for something to do with the kids, put this event on your list of must do’s this weekend. Not only is it affordable family entertainment but also, a great place to buy holiday gifts for the model train buff in your life.

This is Florida’s largest combination show, displaying items for both the “modeler” and “rail buff” alike all under one roof.

Over 350 tables representing dealers from all over the nation will have model items in all gauges and Railroad Antiques for sale. Lionel, American Flyer, LGB, Marklin or Ives Trains from the past and the present.

There  will be several operating layouts and clinics. Some of the layouts have won awards, including the
Silverton Central Modular Railroad. Other layouts will include Plant City N Track, Jim Mercier’s G Scale, “Fun
& Disasters” Layout, SAFE Layout, FL Garden RR Society Layout and Dick Estes’ “The Great Dogbone”
Layout . In addition, the Greater Florida Lego Train Club and the Kids Ride On Train will be setup for the
children.

Price: $8 – 12 and under are free.
Hours:
Saturday 17th  9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday   18th  10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
