Fundraiser For Marine Paralyzed In Boot Camp

19 year-old Nick Battles, a Marine from Tampa, was seriously injured during basic training. This accident left Nick paralyzed from the neck down. Tampa Firefighters Charities will be holding a fundraiser this weekend to help with his medical expenses.

Nick Battles is the son of Tampa Firefighter/paramedic Justin Battles. Nick was injured on the last day of boot camp.

A fundraiser will take place Saturday, December 17th at the Tampa Firefighters Museum, 720 E Zack St. in downtown Tampa, from 3pm – 6pm.

For $10, you’ll receive barbecue, baked beans, cole slaw, and a beer or soft drink… cooked by the firehouse chefs!

Donations to help Nick can be sent to Tampa Firefighter Charities, 3116 N Blvd., Tampa, FL 33603.

For more info on the event, you may contact Adam Meid, (813)766-9129
