Cops: Man Tries To Hide Crack Cocaine Using ChapStick Tube In Anus

ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Orlando police say a man attempted to hide crack cocaine inside a ChapStick tube in his anus while he was being given a body cavity search.

According to police reports obtained by CBS Tampa, Byron L. Smith was riding his bicycle when officers stopped him during a drug investigation.

During the search, police found approximately 4.2 grams of marijuana on him. He was subsequently charged with possession of cannabis.

After Smith was processed and booked into the Orange County jail, he was then given a strip search due to the nature of the crime he was being charged with.

During the strip search, officers noticed a small tube sticking out of Smith’s anus. When the officers opened the tube, they were able to determine it was crack cocaine.

Possession of cocaine with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia were then added to his current charge.

Police reports show that he was also charged with two counts of introducing contraband into a county facility.
