Cops: Woman Dressed As Nurse In Scheme To Rob Elderly Woman

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Kissimmee police say a woman posed as a nurse to gain the trust of an elderly woman so her partner could rob the place at gunpoint.

Police say Jennifer Deliz, 26, worked with Roberto Gonzalez, 23, and another man.

According to police reports obtained by CBS Tampa, Luz Caballero, 62, was home alone when she heard a knock on her door.

According to Caballero, Deliz was dressed in scrubs and offering nursing services.

Once inside, that’s when police say Gonzalez pointed the gun at Caballero’s chest demanding money and threatening to kill her if she did not comply.

Police believe a third suspect locked Caballero in the bathroom in order to keep her quiet.

All three suspects had fled the scene when police arrived. An estimated $15,000 of jewelry was taken from her residence.

When Deliz was arrested and questioned she told police that Gonzalez had nothing to do with the robbery.

Gonzalez was initially questioned and denied any involvement in the incident, but turned himself in at the Osceola County Jail Wednesday night.
