Free Old Fashion Christmas In Brooksville With Santa

The City of Brooksville will hold an old fashion Christmas Thursday, December 8. From 5 till 8 p.m. you can stroll down a brightly decorated Main Street in downtown Brooksville and listen to holiday music and Christmas carols.

Many downtown merchants will be open extended hours as well as offering free holiday treats and entertainment. Stop into Sweet T Boutique directly across from the historic Courthouse where the kids can have a free visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

At 6:30 p.m. enjoy the lighting of the Courthouse Christmas Tree, followed by one hour of holiday entertainment provided by Randi Olsen and the Live Oak Theatre Company, featuring a special appearance by Ebenezer Scrooge; Brooksville Academy of the Arts’ Kicks and Co., and Cathy Kelly.

The program will be videotaped by Hernando County Government Broadcasting and aired throughout the holidays on Bright House Channel 622 and web-streamed at  Call (352) 540- 6777 for television broadcast times. Be sure to bring your own chairs.
