Naked Florida Man Who Stole Boat Tells Police To ‘Taser Me, Bro’

PIERSON, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — Police stunned a naked Florida man with a Taser after he attempted to steal a boat and repeatedly kicked his friend in the back of a patrol car.

Darrel Horne, 28, was arrested by Volusia County authorities yesterday and charged with armed burglary, grand theft and resisting an officer.

Police say Horne and his friend, Matthew Shrider, 27, decided to steal a boat after the truck they were driving ran out of gas.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they ordered Shrider and Horne to return back to the dock with the boat. Shrider complied but Horne started yelling obscenities at the police, took off all his clothes and swam in the other direction.

Horne was caught – still naked – in a heavily wooded area in Pierson after a helicopter and a boat were deployed to look for him.

After being put in the back of the patrol car, Horne began kicking Shrider repeatedly. When authorities ordered Horne to stop, he refused, saying, “Taser me. Taser me, bro.”

Police did Taser Horne to make him comply. Horne later on apologized for his actions and thanked them for using the Taser on him.

Both are being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach.
