Man killed in Tampa Bay boating accident

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a man died after he was thrown from a boat in TampaBay.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports that 42-year-old Anthony George Loveridge and another man were fishing for mullet in an 18-foot boat Wednesday morning near the Sunshine Skyway bridge.

Officials say Loveridge was operating the craft when it hit a sandbar. He landed in the water and was hit by the propeller.

FWC says the man wasn’t wearing a life jacket.

The death remains under investigation.
