Knife Fight Breaks Out At Occupy Orlando Camp Over Loud Drum

Orlando, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — A dispute over a loud drum leads to a knife fight between Occupy Orlando protesters.

Police responded to Senator Beth Johnson Park just after midnight on Sunday to a call that a stabbing occurred, but the victim was so uncooperative that police had to question witnesses to get answers.

Unidentified witnesses said the perpetrator started drumming loudly next to Taylor Dresia, who was sleeping nearby in a lawn chair. The ensuing argument escalated to a point at which the perpetrator pulled a knife, expecting Dresia to throw a punch. Dresia then jumped the drummer, trying to wrestle the knife from his hand.

Dresia refused medical treatment and did not press charges against the alleged knife-wielding man.

Orlando police have classified the event as a cutting instead of a stabbing.
