Lee County, FL (CBS Tampa) A Lee County woman is facing charges over an alleged phone call to a local airport in which she threatened to blow up airplanes because her husband was working nights, authorities said.
According to WBBH, Soraya Evette Billinge, 36, called police dispatch at Southwest International Airport and complained about her husband¹s schedule. She wanted her husband, who works in an unknown capacity for the airport, home at night because she did not want to be home alone.
When the dispatch told her that there was nothing that they could do, she allegedly said, “OK, I blow up, I blow up 10 planes,” before hanging up.
WBBH reports Billinge called back again and spoke to the sergeant on duty. She said again that she did not want her husband working nights, but denied making threats.
Port Authority Police were called and surrounded Billinge’s home, before bringing her into custody and arresting her.
The airport would not reveal what Billinge’s husband does at the airport, but they said he does not work for the TSA or the Port Authority.
