St. Petersburg voters vote in city election

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — St. Petersburg residents will elect four city councilors and decide a handful of ballot issues on Election Day.

Voters will go to the polls Tuesday. Four city council seats and eight charter amendments are on the ballot.

Among the charter amendments: whether to allow port leases of up to 25 years, whether to develop a master plan for the downtown’s waterfront and whether to allow for property tax breaks for businesses that create jobs.

The city of Largo is also holding municipal elections Tuesday.
