Florida Elementary School Accidentally Rewards Students With X-Rated Bracelets

JAY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — Florida students get an X-rated show from bracelets handed out by an elementary school.

The incident happened after students at Jay Elementary School were rewarded for their fundraising efforts with snap bracelets.

Principal Danny Carnley told CBS Tampa that one of the students removed the colorful nylon surrounding the Chinese-made bracelet to reveal images of scantily clad women underneath.

The school received the bracelets from a company running the fundraiser called Computers for Education, but Carnley said the company isn’t to blame.

“They’d have no reason to think this was under the fabric,” Carnley said. He added that the company immediately stripped 8,000 bracelets in an emergency quality control move.

Of those, they found only one. Carnley said laughing, “I got five.”

Jay Elementary School immediately notified parents who either returned the bracelets or simply confiscated them.
