Third Time’s a Charm on “Ringer”
I, like everyone else was getting a little worried after watching the first two episodes of Ringer. I liked it but, I kind of was thinking that it started off a little slow. It’s hard when you have a show like this and walking in the audience already has to get to know two main characters, as well as an entire cast. The first two episodes got you up to speed on all the unfolding drama and now we get to enjoy watching Bridget scheme and weave her way through the lies that she has gotten herself into.
I am not going to recap the entire show, but just give some of my opinions about it. I thought this episode had many more twists and turns than the previous two have had. There was a little more mystery and the story got a little deeper into some of the other characters, like Siobhan’s husband and her lover’s relationship and the dynamic between the two of them.
I don’t think Andrew knows that the real Siobhan has slept with Henry, but if he did I don’t think Andrew would have his own wife murdered. I think that Andrew loves Siobhan he just doesn’t love the person that she had become. Now that Bridget is there, he’s starting to like her and feel the feelings he used to feel for Siobhan. Andrew seems like a good husband, and if Siobhan doesn’t want him, there shouldn’t be a problem with Bridget getting herself a piece of that. He’s handsome, thoughtful and has an accent. Too bad it’s Siobhan who is trying to have her sister killed.
Across the pond.. in a Paris hotel room we find Siobhan sitting on the bed holding a positive pregnancy test and making an anonymous outgoing call to Henry. Looks like someone just found out they’re preggers and wants to talk to the daddy… obviously she doesn’t know how to deal with the situation. I guess having your sister murdered to fake your own death is better than just telling the truth. In this episode you actually got to know the real Siobhan, and she surprisingly was very likeable. She seems to have a lot of confidence and certainly knows how to get what she wants no matter what or who it is. I can’t wait to see some more of her and how she handles all the decisions she has made.
Last thing I have to say, what’s the deal with that phone that Bridget has from the dead guy? I can’t seem to figure that one out. It’s like a $40 phone… what could seriously be so important in a mobile go-phone? Guess we’ll have to wait until next Tuesday to find out!
What do you guys think? I’d love to hear your comments!
