Tuesday, October 4 at 7 p.m. will be a great night in Tampa for fans of the Steve Miller Band and the Lightning. The two will be combined that Tuesday night at the St. Pete Times Forum for a one-of-a-kind Hockey and classic rock night to celebrate the start of the 2011-12 Lightning Season.
Big money has changed how Tampa Bay Lightning fans will experience the 2011-12 home games. This launch concert will give the Lightning the chance to show fans the new look and feel to the season.
The Lightning have renovated their digs with $40 million worth of up-grades to arena’s lighting and sound system, the area’s food menu, concessions, even the fans rear-end will notice a difference this season with new cushioned seating and cup holders. The uniforms and logo didn’t escape the massive up-date either. The Bolts even updated their theme song, it’s called “Be the Thunder”.
You can see all this new improvements at the launch concert with the Steve Miller Band on October 4th. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. There will be lots of activities for Lightning fans of all ages including an introduction to the new 2011-12 Lightning team, with Steven Stamkos, Marty St. Louis and Vinny Lecavalier.
Lightning full season ticket holders can attend the Steve Miller Band concert for free. Fans who hold Lightning 21-game ticket packages or 10-pack plans can buy tickets at 50 percent off the regular price. Tickets for the general public are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster Outlets.
The Lightning opens its 19th National Hockey League home game season on Monday, October 17 against the Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Single game tickets went on sale Saturday, September 17. For information on Lightning ticket plans and prices, call 813-301-6600.
