So I happen to be a huge fan of a little show on another network called Cupcake Wars… the only problem is that I can’t lick my television screen. I HAD to find a place that made delicious cupcakes in Tampa and was very pleased when I came across Frostings Etc. in South Tampa.

The first time I went there I ordered the Pina Colada cupcake and that was pretty much a little piece of heaven. I like to describe the icing as flavored air because it is that light and flavorful. The actual cake is very moist and very delicious too. Some other flavors included but are not limited to: Champagne Pear Bellini, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Guinness Beer, Margarita, Key Lime Pie and many more. The cupcakes are a little pricy ranging from $3.50-$4, but to me are totally worth it. I also recommend buying the day old cupcakes; they are just as good, but half the price. Happy eating!!

The Cupcake Spot is one of Tampa’s best places to satisfy and indulge in a sweet craving. The Cupcake Spot is the Bay Area’s first premier bakery dedicated only to cupcakes. From traditional vanilla cupcakes to more exotic and unique treats like its chocolate with curry frosting cupcake, the  Cupcake Spot never ceases to amaze its customers with new and inventive (and of course delicious) flavors.

With over 20 flavors and various other seasonal flavors, there’s something for every taste and sweet tooth here. Pick up one of these gourmet treats for only $3.00 a piece. My personal favorite is “The Chocolate Elvis,” a banana and peanut butter lover’s paradise!

With two locations in both Tampa and St. Petersburg, The Cupcake Spot is never too far when you’re in need of the perfect sized pick-me-up. Be careful though, this place can ruin your diet in an instant! But, it’s totally worth it.
